Who we are

This is the site of Carlos Silva, a one-person practice working in independent online editing and proofreading of small business writing: web pages, newsletters, product descriptions and written guides, marked so every change can be seen. Its job is simple: describe what we do, show how to reach us, and put the person behind it on record.

The work we do

Our work is independent online editing and proofreading of small business writing: web pages, newsletters, product descriptions and written guides, marked so every change can be seen, for customers in the area we serve. When an enquiry comes in through this site a person reads it and answers with what can be done, how long it would take and what it would cost. Nothing is paid for on this website.

How an enquiry works

• You tell us what you need and how to reach you.
• We reply with availability, timescale and a clear quote.
• Anything binding is agreed in writing, directly with us — never through a form on this page.

What you will not find here

This site carries no ratings, customer counts or sales figures, because we could not evidence them. The pictures are illustrations of the kind of work we do, not photographs of specific jobs. And we never ask for card or bank details, here or by email.

Where the name comes from

The name Carlos Silva is taken from the editor who does this work on their own and in whose name carlossilvausa.online is registered. The pages are written in English so they can be read by the small businesses whose writing is edited. There is no earlier website behind it: everything here was written for this domain.
